Go to resource: a3 Australian Arts Alive for schools is a program run by the Australian School of Performing Arts. The program provides support for choral music in schools and is currently partnered with Catholic Education. ASPA also run the Australian Girls Choir, an extra-curricular ensemble. a3 programs include preparation for school presentations, workshops on choral music, and curriculum programs that support the creative arts curricula. a3 has offices in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, and South Australia.

Cultural infusion together with Reservoir Views Primary School will work in partnership on a one year arts project that explores and celebrates the cultural diversity of the school community thanks to Arts Victoria.
A series of artists and artistic personnel from Cultural Infusion will work collaboratively throughout the year with students, teachers and parents at Reservoir Views Primary School in various art-forms (including physical theatre, dancing, song writing/singing, visual art, puppetry and multimedia) with the end result being a performing arts production that will feature at the school’s end of Term 3 Concert.
Components of the production will also feature alongside the work of professional artists at the 2012 Australia Day Concert that is viewed by an audience of over 10,000 people. We will keep you posted as this exciting project progresses.

Kita Performing Arts Company is an ensemble based in Melbourne and operates throughout Victoria to present traditional and contemporary Asian music and dance. The company runs school programs suited to primary and secondary school students, and teachers notes about each of the presentations are available online. The Black Arm Band: Dirtsong was a work performed at the 2009 Melbourne International Arts Festival. There is a free Education kit available here. The second half of the activities are specifically Music-related, while the first half are Arts and literacy-related.The education kit was prepared by David Perry and is linked to the Victorian curriculum. It contains music activities centred around Indigenous and Australian pop songs, and also explores the didgeridoo. More kits are available through the Melbourne International Arts Festival website.

Bookings for the 2012 Education Program are now open at Victorian Opera. This includes a special Cinderella theatre experience for primary pupils in a series of one hour presentations of Rossini’s La Cenerentola.
We will once again offer a Professional Development program for teachers and singers as well as further opportunities to host a workshop in your school with our Outreach to Schools program.
Upper Secondary school groups attending our mainstage productions will have an additional experience preceding a performance with the opportunity to meet with an artist from the production in our new Seminar series.

World’s Biggest Band is a chance to make history playing live with Artistic Director and internationally renowned musician James Morrison in Brisbane on Saturday 13 July, 2013 as part of the Queensland Music Festival.
