SYO AUDITIONS 2012 – COME JOIN US !

Joining the SYO community opens up a world of experiences for young and emerging musicians. Whether they aspire to a career as a performer,

or simply want to have fun making music, the SYO will become the highlight of each child’s week, as they build formative memories from tours,

camps, rehearsals and performances, and life-long friends are made. Ensemble playing is non-competitive, developing skills in teamwork, self

discipline, confidence, leadership and communication. The power of a large group working towards a common goal, the collegial nature of an ensemble, the discipline and communication, are all benefits cited by research into the value of learning music, for individuals and the wider community. Young people connecting – guided by dedicated professionals, achieving excellence, and celebrating – that’s what Sydney Youth Orchestras is all about.

Your membership of the SYO family is an open invitation for you to become involved in the organization, observe the delight being experienced by the young players, come to the concerts and make friends amongst others united by a love of music. Come join us!
