Melbourne Festival 2011 – Education

August 6, 2011

Of particular interest to Music Educators will be the Australian debut of Sun Rings presented by The Kronos Quartet – an artistic commission by NASA that is an amalgam of chamber music, hypnotic visuals and sounds of deep space as recorded by the Voyager spacecraft.
The Festival provides opportunities for schools to engage with the arts and supports teachers with free educational resource packs to use in the classroom. If you book as a secondary school group then tickets are just $15 per student, with one free teacher ticket with every 10 students attending.

There are also a variety of fantastic free events to be enjoyed by all ages including Angels-Demons. Parade  and Cacophony: The Art of Conflict.
