ACCET Choral Conductor Summer School 16-19 January, 2012
Fred Sjoberg of Sweden is international leader at the next Australian Choral Conductors Education and Training Summer School in Melbourne, along with an excellent Australian leadership team. Fred has conducted the World Youth Choir, the World Chamber Choir and the European Youth Choir; and currently conducts the French National Youth Choir. He is a widely travelled conductor, educator and adjudicator. At ACCET Summer School next January, learn from him about score analysis and interpretation as a conductor, watch him teach conducting in master class and learn about enthusing young people, as well as discovering choral music of Sweden.
There are many experiences in this Summer School: Dalcroze – building music into the body through movement; diction – vowels, consonants, diphthongs and word accent in singing; specialist repertoire for primary and junior choirs, for secondary and youth choirs and for community and church choirs. In addition, a generous package of music is given to participants.
It will be four choral learning-filled days, and a great way to start the year’s music making. www.choralconductors.org.au
